Situation

Finikounda, 5 minutes by car, a coastal village that developed into one of the most beautiful summer resorts of the southern Peloponnese, is surrounded by long sandy beaches with crystal clear waters and mutiple water possibilities. The village has a very pretty harbor with traditional and recreational fishing boats. There are also beachfront cafeterias and several traditional restaurants. Akritochori, 4 minutes by car, is a very nice small village with a restaurant serving local dishes and a small supermarket.

In Koroni, 15 minutes by car, you can find a wide variety of restaurants and bars on the attractive harbor side, overlooked by the ruins of the original Venetian castle. There are also banks, a post office, a hairdresser, a dentist, doctors, and a wide range of shops for everyday needs.

Methoni, 10 minutes by car, is a small, well-preserved traditional town, protected by the Greek Archaeological Service of its imposing Venetian Castle, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sunset, and beneath which lies a beach and a sheltered harbor. The friendly restaurants offer excellent traditional Mediterranean dishes with a touch of modernity.  Methoni also has a supermarket, pharmacy, dentist, doctor, and a public infirmary.

Pylos, a 25-minute drive away, lying inside the beautiful bay of Navarino, is the area’s main town, with one of the biggest natural ports in Europe and a small marina. Being amphitheatrically built and very picturesque makes it one of the most beautiful towns in Greece.

It has a lovely central square, shaded by ancient Platanus trees, where you can find many shops and nice cafeterias.  There are also supermarkets, traditional restaurants, pharmacies, a satisfying range of doctors, and a small medical center with good facilities and reliable staff who provide prompt emergency service for mild cases.

The area of Pylos has four impressive signature golf courses. The nearest signature golf course is 30 minutes away, while the next one is minutes away.

It takes 55 minutes to drive to the International airport and 60 minutes to the modern hospital of Kalamata, the administrative capital of the area. Kalamata has a port, large yachting marina, and motorway access to ATHENS.
